Kevin Curtis, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano and Voice Lessons in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area (Virtual Lessons Available)

“I have been taking lessons from Kevin for over 12 years. During that time, I’ve gone from barely understanding how to plug in an amp, to becoming an advanced guitar player. He has been an incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructor- taking me from simple chords, to advance counting and rhythms. His no-pressure approach allowed me to relax and enjoy the music I was playing. They just don’t get any better.”

“We had the pleasure of Kevin teaching both elementary and upper-level students in drum-line, praise band and for more serious music students, composition and improvisation. He was enthusiastic, dependable and friendly with students and staff alike. Kevin encouraged creativity in his students here at PCCS.”

“Kevin Curtis has been instructing my son in guitar for about a year and a half. In that short time my son’s skill and passion has increased exceedingly. Kevin has provided challenging lessons to improve technique as well as offered exciting music choices to peak interest. This has developed my son into a well-rounded musician. I highly recommend Kevin to advance your skill and to develop or enhance your love for the Art of Music.”

“I’ve been going to Kevin’s classes for over a year now. During this time, I have learned so much from him in playing the guitar. In the beginning I had little to no experience in playing a guitar. I didn’t even know the names of the strings, but during my time with him I have learned chords, rhythm and songs. His teaching approach is hands-on, going step by step, repeating the same notes or chord, and playing with you for it to be understood. For To this day, I’m still going to his classes to improve myself and learn more from him.”

Do you love music and want to get better at it? I’m Kevin Curtis, and I fell in love with music as a way to make life more memorable through my mother. She introduced me to the jazz greats, helped me get my start playing guitar at age 12, and the rest is history.

Whether you’re just starting out or you are decades in, there’s always a “next-level” for you to achieve. That’s one of the best things about playing music – there’s always something new to learn.

The problem is that it can be difficult to figure out what to focus on (especially with all the YouTube rabbit holes you can go down). And, when you do figure out that “thing,” actually learning and accomplishing it can be endlessly frustrating.

That’s why I started teaching private lessons: I want to help musicians of all ages learn how to play the music they grew up listening to and break through whatever’s in their way.

Here’s how it works: First, click the button below and fill out my contact form to inquire about lessons with me. I’ll send you the information you need to make a decision about having me be your teacher. If I’m a good fit, you’ll sign a contract that ensures we’re on the same page. After that, we’ll dive into some of the most exciting and rewarding lessons you’ve ever experienced.

As I am an in-demand performer and teacher, spots for new students are limited, so don’t delay, and I look forward to helping you gain confidence and play more music!
